Meet Director (MD)
The MD's home screen is built entirely around the day's task — it's the one role with no checkpoint duty at all.
- Import a task from AirTribune, or straight from an XCTrack/Oudie QR code.
- Set task type (Race to Goal, Open Distance, Speedrun) and goal turn direction.
- Open and close the task window.
- Mark a task Provisional or Final, and publish or unpublish it — publishing is what makes it appear on pilots' home screens.
- Stop a task mid-day if conditions require it.

Driver
The driver's home screen is a live map centred on the retrieve vehicle and the task, showing every pilot assigned to that vehicle and their last known location.
- Scan a pilot's QR code to check them into the vehicle; their "in vehicle" status and check-in time show in the pilot list.
- Tap a pilot's location to open turn-by-turn navigation to them in Google Maps.
- See the day's task route and waypoints plotted on the same map for context.

Staff
Staff is the most focused role: today's and tomorrow's checkpoint schedule, and nothing else.
- See every checkpoint you're on duty for today, with its time and location.
- Tap a checkpoint with check-in or check-out enabled to open the continuous scan loop and process pilots one after another.
Dual roles
None of this is exclusive — an account can be a pilot in one competition and staff in another, or even both a pilot and staff in the same competition (common for pilots who also help with retrieve or checkpoints). The Switch Role icon in the header, described on the General page, is what makes that work without logging in and out.
